Joanna Sheth

Founder + Partner

After spending over 6 years in the oil and gas industry in various accounting positions, Joanna founded Accountwell Co. to pursue her passion of entrepreneurship and working with small business owners. Starting with nothing but an ambitious concept and a strong conviction to change the relationship that people have with their accountants, Joanna started on her own journey as a business owner. She completed her undergraduate degree in Accounting at the John Molson School of Business in Montreal. 

Joanna specializes in working with creative entrepreneurs and small businesses and she has a wide range of clients from photographers, bloggers, and designers to retailers, health and wellness professionals, and marketing firms. She is very hands on with her clients, thrives on building strong relationships with them, and is a firm believer in the power of understanding your numbers to drive your business forward. Whether it’s advice on best business practices, streamlining accounting processes, or developing key performance indicators, Joanna is passionate about empowering business owners by educating them, providing innovative strategies, and intentional solutions to help them make the best decisions for their business.

Joanna is an avid traveller with an entrepreneurial spirit and a creative at heart with a love to create and dream the impossible. 

April Wiscombe

Partner

With over 10 years of industry experience specializing in full cycle accounting and tax planning, April works closely with her clients to streamline accounting practices, minimize tax liabilities, and advise on growth, profitability and long term structuring. She began working in taxation while completing her undergraduate degree in Finance at the Haskayne School of Business and discovered early on her desire to work with entrepreneurs and small business owners. After spending 8 and a half years with a busy mid size accounting firm, April joined Accountwell Co. to partner with Joanna.

April has always been passionate about providing meaningful, approachable, and practical advice to business owners and focuses on implementing modern technology to advance clients forward in today’s fast paced environment. She is fondly known for her creative explanations and colourful tax presentations which are often displayed during her speaking engagements to entrepreneurs and students alike. She works with many business backgrounds and has a high concentration of clients in the professional service, beauty and aesthetics, retail, and marketing sectors. 

When outside of the virtual office, April enjoys hiking, golfing, wine tasting and traveling to as many countries as possible!
